REACT Collaborators Advance Functional Polymer Membrane Design with Exciting Energy and Water Implications

Functional polymer membrane described in Trigg et al. 2018 and highlighted in Penn Today.

Researchers from Penn and GIANT, along with colleagues at the University of Florida and at Sandia National Labs, published a paper in Nature Materials that describes their innovative approach to designing a membrane that promises efficient and selective transport of protons, ions and small molecules. The lead author, Edward “Ted” Trigg, is an alum of the 2016 REACT cohort of graduate student fellows and is now a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Ohio State University.
